Army Sgt Ken Hirata served in engineering and maintenance during the Korean War. As a teenager during WWII, he and his Japanese-American family were sent to internment camps. We honor both of these important aspects of Sgt. Hirata’s life during Asian-American and Pacific Islander Month.
