Currently, it costs approximately $50,000 for one Honor Flight, which brings about 80 veterans to Washington. We need your help to reach as many Chicagoland veterans as possible – before it’s too late. We are proud to report that 100% of your donation goes directly to fund our operations – Honor Flight Chicago has NO employees. All staff are volunteers.

GUARDIAN - If you would like to be a guardian and help those who have helped so many, please fill out the Guardian Application.

Guardians do pay their own way and are responsible for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our guests. So that we may serve as many veterans as possible, Guardians will be asked to pay the cost of the airline ticket plus the day's expenses.

VOLUNTEER - Our flight days are spent honoring and thanking our veterans, who deserve this and so much more. Each flight requires approximately 250 man-hours to bring together – and that’s before we get off the ground. We need help in many areas: pre-flight operations, fundraising, communications, airport logistics, administration – and more. If you would like to be a volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application.

Honor Flight Chicago invites you to write a thank you letter to a very special, very deserving individual: a veteran of WWII, a person who, in the words of our founding fathers, helped to secure the blessings of liberty for the rest of us.
