Are you wondering how you can show your respect and appreciation for America's veterans? The mission of Honor Flight Chicago may be just what you’re seeking.

Currently, it costs approximately $60,000 for one Honor Flight, which brings between 94 and 100 veterans to Washington. We need your help to reach as many Chicagoland veterans as possible – before it’s too late. We are proud to report that $0.92 of every dollar of your donation goes directly to fund our operations – Honor Flight Chicago has very few paid employees. A vast majority of the staff is volunteers.

To donate via credit or debit card, please click the "Donate" button below and you will be taken to our PayPal page.

If you are making your donation in honor or memory of someone, and would like us to know that, please look for the "Additional info about your donation" link during the PayPal process.

If you’d like to donate via check, please make it payable to Honor Flight Chicago and mail to:

We are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501c3 non-profit. Your donation is considered tax-deductible under the law.

If you would like to make an in-kind donation, please see our Wishlist.

If you are a WWII veteran or know someone who is that would like to visit YOUR memorial in Washington D.C., or know someone who is, please fill out the Veteran Application and either fax it to 773.289.0909, or mail it to:

Honor Flight Chicago
Attn: Veteran Application
938 West Montana Street
Chicago, Illinois 60614

Veterans are scheduled for flights based on date of application received.

GUARDIAN - If you would like to be considered to be a Guardian and help those who have helped so many, please fill out the Guardian Application. In order to have more seats available for Veterans on the flights, seats for Guardians are limited. Guardians must be between the ages of 18 and 64.

Guardians do pay their own way, which includes the cost of the airline ticket plus the day’s other expenses, and are responsible for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our Veterans. So that we may serve as many Veterans as possible, Guardians will be required to pay the cost of the airline ticket plus the day's expenses.

VOLUNTEER
- Our flight days are spent honoring and thanking our veterans, who deserve this and so much more. Each flight requires approximately 250 man-hours to bring together – and that’s before we get off the ground. We need help in many areas: pre-flight operations, fundraising, communications, airport logistics, administration – and more. If you would like to be a volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Application.

Fax either application to 773.289.0909, or mail it to:

Honor Flight Chicago invites you to write a thank you letter to a very special, very deserving individual: a veteran of WWII, a person who, in the words of our founding fathers, helped to secure the blessings of liberty for the rest of us. Please take this opportunity to honor and pay homage to our veterans...and remember - we are the land of the free BECAUSE we are the home of the brave.

Please send your letter to:

You can also "Thank A Vet" by donating to Honor Flight Chicago so that we may honor more vets by sending them to see their memorial in Washington DC.
